Have you heard the news? I don’t follow mainstream media so I don’t know whether they’re reporting it. However, if you follow alternative news sources, you can’t miss it. Thousands of people in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Iran and throughout the African continent are once again seeking God.*
I have prayed for revival through the years. Honestly, I am cautiously excited about these reports, praying it is a true move of the Holy Spirit that will have long-term, transforming power. The proof will be in the fruit, right?
We need God’s Word, first and foremost, and books that faithfully teach us to live for Christ more now than ever in recent history. As souls repent and surrender to God, we (Christ’s body) must be equipped to lead and disciple them so the seeds that were planted can take root, grow and produce godly fruit.
Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. – Romans 13:11

First Looks Resource Guide
I unsuccessfully tried to track down the number of new Christian books published each year. Between traditional publishers and self-publishers, it’s a lot; theological treatises, memoirs, biographies, devotionals, Bibles, Bible studies, liturgies, humorous books that allow us to laugh at our own foibles and books addressing specific needs in the church. And that’s just in the non-fiction category.
Then there’s fiction; romances, historical fiction, fantasy, graphic novels, speculative, novellas, short story compilations and a wide range of children’s books.
Even the most avid reader couldn’t possibly run out of material to gain insights into the God we serve and the life He’s called us to. What a great opportunity to tap into the knowledge and experiences of fellow believers. Here are some new books you may want to explore.
Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. – Proverbs 19:20
